Kia is preparing to launch the new-generation Seltos SUV, with test mules spotted multiple times revealing fresh exterior details. The latest sighting offers clearer insights into the interior of the Hyundai Creta rival, which has been undergoing extensive trials ahead of its debut. The much-anticipated new version is set to break cover on 10 December (tomorrow), marking a significant step in Kia's SUV lineup. Here's everything we know so far about the upcoming model.
The second-generation Kia Seltos interior appears closely aligned with other new-age Kia models, featuring a twin-screen connected layout. These are expected to be upgraded 12.3-inch units, similar to those seen on the Syros, replacing the current 10.25-inch setup. The centre console switchgear and controls beneath the display also appear to be borrowed from the Syros. If the fit, finish, and overall quality mirror that model, buyers can anticipate the new Seltos to deliver a premium cabin experience that elevates its appeal.

The upcoming Kia Seltos showcases several refined interior details that elevate its premium appeal. Ambient lighting has been seamlessly integrated into the dashboard and door pads, while slim AC vents are neatly tucked within the layered dash design. A newly designed three-spoke steering wheel, featuring an offset Kia logo and multiple hard buttons, adds to the modern feel. Unlike rivals such as the Tata Sierra and Mahindra XEV 9S with their triple-screen layouts, Kia has opted for restraint, retaining physical switchgear. Additional highlights include a stubby gear lever, retractable cup holders on the centre console, and aluminium-finished pedals.

On the equipment front, the new Seltos is expected to offer a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, ventilated and powered front seats, and electric boss mode borrowed from the Creta Electric. A premium audio system further enhances cabin comfort. Safety kit could include six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, tyre-pressure monitoring, and advanced Level 2 ADAS features.

Recent teaser images and multiple test mule sightings suggest the new Kia Seltos will adopt a fresh design inspired by larger Kia SUVs like the Telluride. Expect a bolder take on the Tiger Nose grille, sleek connected LED tail-lamps, and a sharper overall styling language. The SUV is also likely to grow in size, accommodating larger wheels for added presence.
The upcoming second-generation Kia Seltos is expected to introduce a new naturally aspirated petrol-hybrid engine. While detailed specifications remain under wraps, reports suggest it will be an electrified version of the existing 1.5-litre four-cylinder NA petrol unit. Alongside this addition, the SUV will continue offering the familiar 160hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and the 116hp 1.5-litre diesel engines, ensuring buyers have a wide range of proven and efficient options to choose from.
