Honda recently launched the 2025 version of its flagship superbike, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, in India. Just two weeks after the launch, the motorcycles have now started arriving at the dealerships for delivery. We came across several videos on social media, showing customers taking delivery of the newly launched Honda machine.
Powered by a 999cc, liquid-cooled inline-four engine, the 2025 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is capable of putting out a peak power and torque output of 217.5 hp at 14,500rpm and 113 Nm at 12,500rpm. The power mill works in conjunction with a 6-speed gearbox with bi-directional quickshifter and ride-by-wire throttle.
The new Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade is loaded with safety features, including Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), wheelie control, three-level ABS that disables the rear ABS in race mode, allowing aggressive use of the rear brake when needed, and it also gets the three-level Honda Steering Damper (HESD) that contributes to maintaining high-speed stability while enhancing chassis control.
Adding to the massive power is the lightweight aluminum diamond frame that assists it in sprinting, with MotoGP-like DNA. The braking duty is performed by twin 330 mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers in the front and a 220 mm rotor on the rear. The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP gets a pair of 17-inch wheels on both ends and stands on electronically adjustable Ohlins EC 3.0 at the front and an Ohlins monoshock at the rear.
The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is tagged at an ex-showroom price of Rs 28.99 lakh, and rivals the likes of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and BMW S 1000 RR, in the Indian market.
