The number of senior citizens dying of Covid is back to same percentage as it was during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. A study of recent Covid deaths in Mumbai shows that, of the total number of Covid deaths in October, 79.5% were above the age of 60. This does not mean a rise in the number of deaths, which has come down significantly, but it shows that senior citizens and those with comorbidities have to remain vigilant in the post-Covid world.
