Suzuki has a cash pile and no significant earnings on that money back in Japan, so it makes sense for it to invest in the Gujarat plant not Maruti, says RC Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki. He also says the company will benefit overall from this plan. Mr Bhargava also talks about the huge demand for the new Celerio automatic and the pressing need for Maruti to have a subcompact SUV in its portfolio.
