It's being called a diplomatic coup, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted to his followers that US President Barack Obama would be India's chief guest at Republic Day. It was nothing short of that. Since he's taken office this is yet another bold manouvre in diplomacy that promises to capture world attention in the same way his invitation to SAARC leaders in May did. We debate whether this initiative the Prime Minister has been taking is helping reposition India on the world stage.
