The Board of Control for Cricket in India's decision to indefinitely suspend the Rajasthan Cricket Association is likely to open a new front in court. The BCCI decision came in the wake of Lalit Modi being officially declared as Rajasthan cricket president. The RCA defied BCCI by letting the banned Modi contest the state body elections in December last year. Modi represented the Nagaur District Cricket Association. BCCI says this was illegal. Rajasthan are now expected to challenge the Board diktat. BCCI, however, said in a release that it will protect the interest of Rajasthan's cricketers by appointing an ad-hoc committee.
