Neena Ningombam is a widow survived with two kids. Her husband was killed in an alleged fake encounter in Manipur. She was shattered and was lost on what to do. Today, she is a Secretary of Extrajudicial Execution Victim Families Association, Manipur (EEFAM), an organization of widows and mothers whose husbands and sons were killed in alleged fake encounters in Manipur. Because of her and her organization's effort, the Supreme Court is now taking cognizance and is inquiring into cases of fake encounter killings in Manipur. Here's the story of a woman who brought fake encounters back to the headlines.
