Cultivating Hope in Telangana: Boosting Morale of Distressed Farmers

The National Crime Records Bureau of India in its 2012 annual report, reported that 135,445 people committed suicide in India, of which 13,755 were farmers. Taking off from this grim reality, NDTV together with Piramal Foundation launched Cultivating Hope campaign which aims at highlighting farmer related issues and finding ways to address the severe problem. As part of this campaign, we bring to you a story of impact from Telangana wherein Mr. Harinder Sikka of the Piramal Foundation visits a village to create confidence among farmers and those families that lost their dear ones due to crisis in the farm sector.
