BJP, noted Kannada writer in war of words over Narendra Modi

Veteran Kannada writer and Jnanpith award winner UR Ananthamurthy is known to be outspoken and to express himself firmly. At a literary function in Bangalore on Tuesday, he made it abundantly clear. Lashing out at Narendra Modi, Mr Ananthamurthy said that he would not want to live in a country where Mr Modi was the Prime Minister. Mr Modi was appointed as the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate last week.
