The chemical symbol for Gold is 'Au', derived from the Latin name 'aurum', which means 'glowing dawn'. For the Egyptians, the yellow blaze of gold was a symbol of Ra, the sun god. To the Inca people, gold was the sweat of the sun. This is the story of the birth of Brahma, the master of the universe, born from gold. The primeval force that draws its colour, energy and power from the sun. More than any other colour, more than any other metal and the story of gold comes alive in India. Gold is a colour, a coveted metal and a concept.
