After facing criticism over Hyderabad scholar Rohith Vemula's suicide for days, Education Minister Smriti Irani has hit back saying the incident is not a Dalit vs non-Dalit issue. But as the Opposition unites against the BJP on the issue, has politics taken over? Does the Centre's defence hold? Or do they need to act against Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya named in the First Information Report?
