After the Memogate tremor shook Pakistan's political establishment and pushed him into yet another controversy, President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the scandal has been given unnecessary publicity. In his first major interview in recent months, Mr Zardari also dismissed rumours of his resignation and the reported rift with the army, saying that "there is no one that innocent in Pakistan to ask me for my resignation."
