N Biren Singh, the BJP's first Chief Minister in Manipur, spoke to NDTV just hours after taking charge. In a candid confession N Biren Singh, most of whose cabinet berths went to the coalition partners, conceded that the BJP had to "sacrifice" to accommodate allies and rally enough support to stake claim following a hung verdict in the assembly elections. Raising a conciliatory tone on Naga groups' demand for a separate state, he said they too are "sons of the soil" and should be engaged in dialogue.
