Dayashankar Singh, the Uttar Pradesh politician expelled by the BJP and facing arrest for his abuse of Mayawati, remains missing after a day of police searches across the state. His wife Swati Singh has alleged that she and her 12-year-old daughter are being abused and threatened by activists of Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
