As temperatures rises with the onset of summer, the political heat in Ghaziabad is also on the rise. The BJP, which has held the Lok Sabha seat since 2009, has fielded MLA Atul Garg from here, overlooking sitting MP Gen VK Singh. The INDIA bloc has named local Congress leader Dolly Sharma as their candidate. The entry of Thakur Nand Kishor Pundir as the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate has made it a three-cornered contest.
