While discussing Law Minister Kiren Rijiju's letter expressing his wish to have a government representative in the Supreme Court collegium, advocate Shadan Farasat says, "Law Minister's letter is bordering on inappropriate." He further says that the Law Minister himself knows that his suggestion is not within the remit of existing law. He also says that he doesn't see how presence of law secretary will add to the transparency.
