The farmers in UP's Lakhimpur Kheri appear to have reached an agreement with the state government in double-quick time. They have been offered compensation and are now willing to end their protests in Lakhimpur Kheri. All this on a day when the Supreme Court in an observation said that farmers should end their protests since the matter is being heard in the Supreme Court. The top court will now look into whether protests can happen when a matter is before the court.
