Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the BJP's Lok Sabha poll campaign in the northeast with a massive rally in the Lakhimpur district of Upper Assam and then a roadshow in Tinsukia. This is also the first visit of the Union Home Minister to Assam after the CAA rules were framed but he remained silent on the Act. He chose to raise the pitch around Ram Mandir and the scrapping of Article 370. Ratnadip Choudhury reports.
