Vedanta Chairman Told Us Everything Was In Place: Ex Maharashtra Minister
"Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal told us everything was in place, but that he wanted to take Government of India's consent. We continued the negotiation, I assured him Maharashtra was ready. Suddenly, the news came on September 13 that the investment was going to Gujarat," said Subhash Desai, former Minister for Industries & Mining in Maharashtra, and the man who negotiated the Vedanta-Foxconn deal in the state.
