The lockdown has made it very difficult for many poor families in urban areas to earn a living. Many of them have to depend on the handouts of the state or NGOs. One such family is that of Mary, a young woman living in Bengaluru. Her husband, a labourer, could not find work. She has a small son - and is pregnant with her second child. But, scared of infection and with hospitals discouraging non-emergency visits - she has missed pre-natal checks. NDTV's Maya Sharma met the family.
