Supreme Court Ex Judge Defends Judges' Appointment System Collegium

Justice Ajay Rastogi, who retired as a judge of the Supreme Court on June 17 spoke in detail to NDTV on the independence of the judiciary, collegium system and Bilkis Bano case. Justice Rastogi, while defending the collegium system, said that if the government is not happy with the collegium system, they can bring a law but the prevailing law should be respected. He also defended that the central investigation agencies are functioning independently, and Judges should refrain from making comments like 'caged parrot'.
