This week on NDTV Dialogues, India's eminent economists discuss India's fight against poverty. Economist Surjit Bhalla said India's "poverty industry is bigger than any crony industry". Responding to Dr Bhalla's comments Professor Abhijit Banerjee, Director, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab at MIT, said that the "poverty industry" has received very little money as compared to corporate giveaways.
