In this episode, we look at banking for the poor and complete financial inclusion for those excluded. The Jan Dhan Yojna has been a flagship scheme for this government, but, on the show, we look beyond - how will it actually work on the ground? How does one bring in people, excluded for years, into the Indian economy? How will they be a part of the whole growth tree? We are joined on the show by the man, known as the banker to the poor, Nobel Laureate and Grameen Bank founder Professor Muhammad Yunus; Pramod Bhasin, founder of Genpact, and the head of The Skills Academy; V Balakrishnan, formerly from Infosys, and now head of Exfinity Venture Partners. Also on the show is Milind Kamble, the founder of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Monika Halan, the Editor of Mint Money and Jayshree Vyas of SEWA Bank. (Read transcript here)
