In Facebook's first major crackdown on misinformation, a total of 1,126 pages have been taken down. The Congress has had more sites taken down while the BJP also saw some pages removed by the social networking site. The Congress pages had fewer followers than the pro-BJP ones. The Congress has said none of the official pages maintained by it were affected.
