The Madras High court has directed the Tamil Nadu government to install boards saying non-Hindus are not allowed inside temples beyond the flag-staff and not to allow non-Hindus who don't believe in Hindu religion. Though the petitioner had sought orders only for a renowned temple in Palani, the court ordered the execution of this order in all temples to ensure what it calls communal harmony among religions. NDTV's Sam Daniel sent this report.
