Petrol price hike: Bold economic move or anti-common man?

The biggest ever hike, that of Rs 7.50, has taken the price of petrol to more than Rs 80 in some parts of the country. The verdict from the people is - its will burden them no end - but industry houses like FICCI say that it's a welcome move and even diesel and kerosene should go the same way.
