Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for a second day in a money laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met with Maharashtra leader Sharad Pawar in Delhi today in a flurry of meetings on the Presidential polls next month. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked various government departments and ministries to undertake the recruitment of 10 lakh people on a "mission mode" in the next year and a half, his office said today. The centre today unveiled the Agnipath scheme, a radical recruitment plan for armed forces The plan is primarily aimed at cutting down salary and pension bills and freeing up funds for urgent procurement of weapons.
