Rajeev Shukla, journalist-turned-Congress leader who interviewed Narendra Modi 16 years ago, says that "raising this controversy was unnecessary" and "what BJP did was also not required". He told NDTV, "On the advice of one RSS official, he (PM Modi) had done graduation and post-graduation as an external candidate. This is what he told me (in the interview).
