The outgoing US President Barack Obama urged the nation Wednesday to join him in rooting for President-elect Donald Trump's success. He said he was heartened by Mr Trump's election night call for unity and hoped it wouldn't fade. Mr Obama, in a post-election ritual meant to signal the peaceful transition of power, vowed to do all he could to ensure Mr Trump would be well-positioned to run the country.
