Senior BJP leader KS Eshwarappa, also the Leader of Opposition in Karnataka assembly, drew criticism today when he asked a woman journalist what can the opposition do if "someone drags and rapes" her. The former chief minister's comment came after the reporter asked if the Opposition had failed in its duty by not making the Congress-led government accountable for such crimes in the state.
