Tripura BJP Drops 6 MLAs In First List Of Candidates For Assembly Election

The ruling BJP on Saturday announced its first list of 48 candidates for the Tripura assembly election. It fielded Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik from Dhanpur. It dropped six MLAs and fielded 11 women candidates. The party will go solo and contest all the 60 seats, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said after he returned to the state from Delhi on Friday night with other senior leaders.
