Recession-hit youth opting for govt jobs

It is not just the jobs, the recession bug seems to have hit aspiration levels of youngsters as well. With more and more young people now preferring the secure and stable option of a government job, coaching classes for civil service exams say enrollment has shot up, in some cases by as much as 30 per cent. It is back to school for Sanobar Sheikh this year. After two years at a consulting firm, she quit her job to try her luck at the civil service examination.
