India has witnessed its most parched August in 122 years, with rainfall plummeting to a staggering 33% below the seasonal average. Skymet's GP Sharma speaks to NDTV regarding states like Gujarat and Kerala which have had a deficit of nearly 90% for the month so far. Meanwhile, reservoirs are already running at very low levels in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh among other states. There are also major concerns for the farmers and crops.
