Not Just Muslims, Hindu Rohingyas Have Also Fled, Says Bangladesh Envoy

Myanmar's de facto leader Aung Sang Suu Kyi is not going to the UN General Assembly meet in New York, which began on Monday. Nor is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and India's External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj are attending the meet, will discuss the Rohingya crisis as well. In fact, before the two leaders left for New York, they spoke on the phone. In an exclusive chat with NDTV, Bangladesh envoy to Delhi Syed Muazzem Ali, said the Rohingyas are not just Muslim refugees, thousands of Hindu Rohingyas have also fled because of the Myanmar army's crackdown.
