During the coronavirus induced lockdown, a migrant worker along with his family was forced to return from Tamil Nadu to his hometown in Uttar Pradesh after the landlord asked him to leave. The migrant had to sell his wife's jewellery for Rs. 1,500 in a local market to buy food and medicines amid lack of means. Here is the story of one of the thousands of migrants who have still not received ration from the government and have decided to not return to their workplace.
