15 people, including two children, were hospitalised after a gas leak from a water treatment plant in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal last evening. The gas leak was reported from a chlorine cylinder installed at the water treatment plant in Mother India colony of the city. Speaking to NDTV, a local said his mother had to be hospitalised after she complained of breathing issues. Another man said his wife started coughing and vomiting due to a strong odour in the area. Here's a ground report by NDTV. This could have been another disaster after the 1984 incident in Bhopal that killed thousands and affected more than 5.5 lakh people, they said, adding that a major tragedy has been averted.
