DMK ally, VCK took to the streets near Raj Bhavan in Chennai today demanding recall of Tamil Nadu Governor. This, after the Governor skipped reading parts of the official speech approved by the Tamil Nadu Government during his customary address and omitted names of leaders including Periyar and Ambedkar. The Raj Bhavan avoiding the state emblem in its Pongal invite and using "Thamizham" instead of the constitutional Tamil Nadu had touched a raw nerve in the state.
