300 policemen were injured in the clashes yesterday, according to the Delhi Police. Many of those are currently admitted at hospitals across Delhi. NDTV spoke with 32-year-old constable Sandeep Kumar who was at the ramparts of Red Fort when protesters hoisted a flag. Mr Kumar's hand was fractured in the violence. He says that as policemen, their job is to only protect people and that there was no aggression from their side. He said that many protesters behaved like hooligans and not farmers and this, he said, caused large-scale destruction.
