Chennai's Kauvery Hospital Turns 100% Oxygen Self Reliant With Oxygen Generators

Months after India witnessed severe medical oxygen shortage amid the second wave, the Kauvery Hospital in Chennai has become 100% self reliant for its oxygen requirements with installation of oxygen generators. The state Health Minister has said this could be made mandatory for upcoming hospitals. NDTV spoke to Dr Aravindan Selvraj, Co-founder of the hospital on this new system, under-utilisation of vaccines and over charging by private hospitals for COVID-19 treatment.
