The BJP has been hit by what it was trying to avoid in Karnataka - a rebellion. This after they released their first list of 189 candidates, which included 52 new entrants. Some old timers and former MLAs have decided to quit the party - like Laxman Savadi a close confidante of former chief minister BS Yediyurappa. Meanwhile, another former chief minister, Jagdish Shettar, who had openly rebelled, met BJP chief JP Nadda today and it is likely that he could be accommodated. NDTV's Sreeja MS brings us all the details in this report from Karnataka.
