The BJP has swept Congress aside in 4 out of the 3 states i.e Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. With this dominant performenace the party has asserted its stronghold in three large states in northern India, in what is also called the 'Hindi heartland'. and despite the exit polls predicting a tight contest in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, the BJP has managed to win by an impressive margin. And a major reason for this hat-trick is being attributed to the Modi factor. BJP fielded no CM face in any of these states and PM Modi campaigned extensively in all of them.
