A 12-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped in Jharkhand's Koderma district last week, has committed suicide, according to the police. The young student reportedly consumed pesticide last night. The girl, a student of class 8, and her family were being threatened by the accused's kin to drop the rape charges and reach a compromise, say the police. The family of the accused was also allegedly pressurising the girl to get married to him.
