After 11 young men in Hyderabad were arrested as part of an Indian ISIS module just last month, now 17 Muslim youths from Kerala - many of them recent converts - have reportedly reached ISIS camps in Syria and Afghanistan. Today the prime minister, who is in Kenya said preachers of hate and violence are threatening the fabric of our society, we must be watchful of them, in a fairly obvious reference to Dr Zakir Naik, now being investigated for providing inspiration to two of the Dhaka terrorists, as well as the chief of the Hyderabad ISIS module. Are we seeing a disturbing new trend of political and religious radicalisation from Kashmir to Kerala? Should India, which has so far appeared to be fairly insulated from the growing radicalisation in other parts of the world, be worried?
