“There is secular trend towards recession. Companies are tightening their belts. In case of Meta, they have been hit by three things, softness on ad revenue, lack of users' growth and oversized commitment to Metaverse,” said Manish Maheshwari, former Twitter India MD, when asked if Meta layoffs are a case of a big company projecting something that they can't achieve.
