According to Pradnya Paithankar, SDG Manager at UN World Food Programme, the agriculture sector, which is a contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, is also the first to be affected by climate change. She stressed that in India, a large proportion of the population is dependent on agriculture and so these producers should be at the heart of the solution for climate change.
