Four days after sporadic violence that also saw a petrol bomb hurled at the personal residence of Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and the Governor's convoy targeted over the alleged police encounter of a rebel leader, the curfew was yesterday for a few hours yesterday. Locals from the disturbed area have decided not join the peace committee set up by the state government until it acts against the cops involved in the raid on the leader.
