In this episode, we showcase the work done by swachhagrahis (foot soldiers of Swachh Bharat Mission) who are trying to make a difference in their own way. Pallavi Utagi and her group of mothers from Mumbai are hoping that Indians will chose reusable cloth diapers instead of disposable ones which are non-biodegradable and polluting our landfills and choking our waterbodies. Sumit Pandit from Aurangabad is a barber with a mission who is incentivising people with free haircuts and beard trimmings if they construct toilets in their homes. Fashion business being the second biggest water polluter in the world, Delhi-based Meenakshi Sharma is turning waste material into useful products and saving 200 kilos of waste every month adding to the ever-growing garbage pile. Pune-based, Ram Das Mane is building affordable toilets in two hours by recycling thermocol scrap coated with cement.
