The diplomatic row between India and Italy over two Italian marines being arrested for allegedly killing two Indian fishermen is fast growing. The Italian deputy foreign minister is now flying to India before the foreign minister's visit due next week as the wife of one of the fishermen killed has gone to court demanding compensation for her husband's death before the Italian ship is allowed to leave Indian waters. Meanwhile the marines maintain that they only fired warning shots in the air. Anger in Kerala is also growing. Both politically and diplomatically, this has turned into a hugely sensitive issue.
