India Matters: Jobs? What jobs? (Aired: October 2006)
The Sahariya tribals of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are among modern India's poorest and most backward communities. Despite a special government scheme targeted at finding them jobs, the Sahariyas say they they still have no houses, no roads, no food, no water and no work. Most say they don’t even know that a scheme for them exists.
