The grand Mysuru Dasara (or Dussehra) saw its biggest day today on Vijayadashami, which celebrates the win of good over evil. Mysuru, the cultural capital of Karnataka, has been lit up for the past 10 days with rituals, music, dance, games, food and much more. The final day saw the much-awaited procession of elephants through the streets of the city. The lead elephant, Abhimanyu, will carry the 750-kg golden "howda" - a large canopy-like seat. Lakhs of people turned up to see this grand festival.
